Lee Ledet is the founding member of Ledet Law Group. Lee has dedicated his legal career to serving public entities, businesses, the people who operate them, and the entities who insure them.
Lee has committed his practice to serving local governments, political subdivisions, state agencies, educational institutions, national corporations and local businesses. Lee also works with national insurance carriers, third party administrators, and other insuring entities. As detailed below, Lee has successfully defended claims asserted against public entities arising under state and federal law including Civil Rights claims arising under 42 U.S.C. 1983, Title VII employment discrimination claims, the ADA, the ADEA, FMLA, Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) claims and parallel state statutes.

Our Partner
Lee is originally from Thibodaux, Louisiana. He earned his undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University in 2003 and his Juris Doctorate from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2010. Lee is licensed to practice in the State of Louisiana, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts, and the U.S. Court of Appeals 5th Circuit.
Lee married Kaylan Kline Ledet while in law school. Lee and Kaylan moved to Kaylan’s hometown of Clinton, Louisiana that same year, and they have lived in the Felicianas ever since. Kaylan is the granddaughter of Judge William F. Kilne [Ret.] who served the Felicianas and the 20th Judicial District Court for many years. The Ledet’s moved to St. Francisville in 2014 where they currently reside with their two children Hayes and Addie Kline.
